The Sublime and the Abyss

This is how it works, how it is - the paradox of the absolutely sublime and the completely absurd, sitting within us, next to one another, like poorly placed guests at a dinner party - slightly startled, certainly dismayed, but putting up a good front as they try to make the best of it, and often do.
